Mark Williams got his start in model railroading with a train set at Christmas. His love for passenger trains came about with three cross-country train trips as a youngster... twice on the El Cap Chicago to LA, and once on the California Zephyr Chicago to Oakland.
Like many of us as adults, life intruded and the trains were set aside; but he got back into the hobby in his early 50’s and has been an avid modeler ever since.
He models in N scale and has built four layouts, three of which have traveled to regional train shows. He enjoys doing the buildings and scenery as much as the track and trains. He presents frequently at regional and national train conventions, and he will never be too old to play with trains!
