Joel Morse has been an n-scale model railroader since the mid-1970’s when he started in the hobby as a teenager with his father. Joel has been working on his operations focused 125 square foot “E” shaped New York, Ontario and Western Railway since 1995, and has been hosting regular operating sessions since 2012. Most recently, his home layout was featured on the cover of the NMRA Magazine’s January, and has also appeared on the cover of the October 2021 edition of “The Dispatcher’s Office”, the magazine produced by the OPSIG, as well as in two other editions over the past few years, He has also written numerous articles for “The Order Board”, the Cajon Division of the PSR newsletter about various aspects of operations and modeling techniques.  Joel has also given clinics on a variety of subjects at Regional Conventions and local Cajon Division events.

Joel is currently the Co-Chair and Treasurer of the SurfLiner2024 National Convention, as well as Treasurer of the Pacific Southwest Region and Superintendent of the Cajon Division.  Joel is wrapping up his career as a Land Development Consultant and Urban Planner this year and plans to spend more time with his family and hobbies: model railroading, bluegrass banjo, traveling and reading.
